📌 Ministry of Agriculture has completed identifying 1.5 million  coffee farmers who will be allowed to export coffee, cotton and related products to Europe.

European Union market now requires documentation and proof that our coffee and cotton plants were not grown on land previously occupied by Forests after December 2020. 

📌 Meanwhile - Elegu town - located at the border with South Sudan - will be getting a new and modern market at a cost of Ushs 41 billion. 

Over 2 million metric tones of good valued at Ushs 786 billion are traded annually at this market. 

The project is jointly funded by the European Union and Denmark, under the Global Gateway strategy, a Team Europe initiative, and implemented by TradeMark Africa in close partnership with the Government of Uganda.
