Good morning!  On this day in 1918, Nelson Mandela was born in South Africa. 

Today is also the Nelson Mandela International Day as declared by the UN in 2009.  And, in recognition of Mandela's 67 years of service to humanity, you are encouraged to dedicate 67 minutes of your time to community service today.

📌 Meanwhile a medical school principal has justified his decision to expel a pregnant student from the school:  Our environment is exposed to toxins, chemicals & radiation - these can harm the unborn baby.  And our training, sometimes requires 8 hrs of strenuous work. 

📌 Buvuma Island is to get electricity through an underwater power distribution system via Lake Victoria.  Minister -Nankabirwa has confirmed.

📌 In cricket, Uganda takes on Nigeria in the Pearl of Africa T20 Series - 2025 in Entebbe Town today.

📌 In Football, Vipers SC has signed a new defender called Kevin Daslyva Bady from Congolese club AS Simba Kamikaze.
