Good morning ! On this day in 1956, Tunisia gained independence from France -with Mr. Habib Bourguiba, a key figure in the independence movement - becoming the first president.
Do you remember Concorde Airplanes ? ...Well, it was on this same day in 2000 that a Concorde plane crashed outside Paris, killing 109 people. This tragic event contributed to closing of the Concorde fleet.

▶️ President M7 will launch the Uganda Chapter of CHAN 2024 today at Kololo. We are co-hosting this football tournament with Kenya and Tz from 2nd to 30th August at Namboole.
▶️ Gov't has accepted to pay ICT teachers - 4 million per month - same as their science teaching colleagues. The Arts teachers still have to wait a bit.
▶️ Meanwhile, NUP has extended the deadline for registering interested candidates to today, July 25. This was after aspirants complained about facing documentation delays.
▶️ If you are in Kampala, your water supply- between 8AM & 5PM, will be interrupted today. National water has announced a planned upgrade and maintenance exercise for the Gaba Power station.
