📌 Over 2,200 persons in 72,000 villages will compete in NRMs internal elections today. Ony 17 candidates went through unopposed.
📌Govt will start paying Ush 1.4 trillion domestic arrears in October 2025, after verifying the claims through an audit.
Domestic arrears are unpaid goods, services, and works that have been delivered to a broke government.
📌Government has given a new Land Cruiser (VXR) and a double cabin pick-up to 15 cultural leaders.
📌 High court has agreed to try one of Kaweesi's murder suspects 'Masiga' in absentia. The guy was given bail in 2019 but has since disappeared.
📌 And in some sad news, former Makerere University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Livingstone Luboobi has passed away at the age of 80. May his soul rest in peace.
