Good morning! On this day in 1919, Afghanistan got independence from the United Kingdom with King Amanullah Khan taking over as leader.
On the same date in 1978 - a fire at the Rex Cinema in Abadan - Iran, killed over 400 people. The movie being screened was called 'The deers' by Iranian director Masoud Kimiai.

📌The Constitutional Court yesterday ruled that couples seeking divorce in Uganda must continue to first prove that something indeed went wrong: For example ; He is cheating, She quarrels a lot, He snores, She stole my land title, He spends the whole day on netflix , the DNA results showed that...etc..etc..
The court rejected calls to introduce a 'no-fault ' divorce system - where couples would just divorce easily without court first knowing why.
📌 In sports - as we write this - the party is still going on in bars, churches, sitting rooms and lodges around Uganda -after Uganda Cranes qualified for the quarter finals of the CHAN tournament.
