Good morning ! On this day in 1962, At the UPC annual delegates' conference in Mbale, then-Prime Minister Milton Obote announced the government's plan to establish a high-powered Economic Planning Commission to fight poverty. 

And on August 5th -2005, the Ministry of Health reported a rare cholera strain that had killed 56 people and infected more than 2,200 others in various parts of Uganda in just four months.

ℹ️Uganda Christian University (UCU) has unveiled architectural plans to construct a new state of the art senate building that will have: a 500 seater auditorium, a council hall and modern offices.

ℹ️ KCCA has started the process of removing or decommissioning the Kiteezi landfill after recieving assistance of Ush 3.5 billion from UN Habitat  and the Japan Govt.

ℹ️ Meanwhile, The NRM primaries tribunal is scheduled to deliver its first judgments regarding the disputed party elections - today. 

In the end -we hope that  NRM will settle these issues nga abantu abakullu.
