Hello Friend,

🤗 Welcome and we are grateful for a new Tuesday.

📆 Today in History.

In 1997: Apple Computer appoints its co-founder, Steve Jobs, as interim CEO.

🌍 And in 2018, at the Berlin Marathon, Eliud Kipchoge set a new marathon world record with a stunning time of 2:01:39

⁉️ Lero Twagala Sente. Twagala Sente Zoka -Please.

In 2024- Ugandans in America, Europe, Saudi Arabia and other places sent  5.4 trillion shillings back home for : food & daily necessities, education, healthcare & business investments - among others.

This money contributed 3% to Uganda's GDP - and exceeded other sources like foreign direct investment and development assistance.

So, we want to ask you - how do you send or receive your ka money from abroad?

In the news.

📰   Entebbe Airport is now breaking records.  For the first time in years - 243,089 international passengers used the airport in August 2025 -exceeding the record 230,577 passengers of July 2025.

Cargo traffic faired well too - In August 2025, a record of  5,257 metric tonnes were handled : 3,247 tonnes were imports and  2,010 tonnes were exported - with Fruits, vegatables and flowers as the most flown items.

But what's causing this?

ℹ️  Sports tourism and International Conferences are on the increase. For example - In August - we hosted  CHAN 2024

ℹ️ It also looks like - UTB's strategic promotional efforts are now starting to pay off handsomely.

ℹ️ Plus, Uganda Airline's new and expanded flight routes to places like London and Lagos have increased the airport's accessibility & connectivity.

ℹ️ The Airport is also being expanded and upgraded with new facilities to improve efficiency and traveler experiences

These developments confirm the Airport  as a rising regional hub -ready to serve Investors in Uganda's tourism, agriculture, and service sectors.

📰  And elsewhere -  Gov't has officially stopped importing electricity meters - opting to only source them from local Ugandan manufactures. UEDCL has confirmed the development.

"This is in line with the government BUY UGANDA , BUILD UGANDA (BUBU) policy , and its a major milestone for the electricity sector" Jonan Kiiza  -UEDCL

⚽️ In Sports - The UEFA Champions League returns today with 36 teams competing for glory. Athletic Club takes on Arsenal at 7:45 pm -while Totenham takes on Villarreal at 10pm -Kampala time.

That's it. Have a great day.

With  Regards
