Good morning ! On this day in 1505,  A fleet of 22 ships from Portugal (the 7th Amada), going to India, arrived at Mombasa Coast in Kenya. They proceeded to sack, loot and plunder the city into submission. 

And on the same day in 1961: Construction of the Berlin Wall began. East Germany started to close the border between the eastern and western sectors of Berlin to prevent its citizens from escaping to the West.
