Good morning !  On this day in 1892, Emperor Haile Selassi of Ethiopia was born. He led and modernised Ethiopia for 44 years and was key in the formation of OAU- before it became AU. 

On this same day, but in 1952, Colonel Gamel Abdel Nasser led a group of rebels to overthrow King Farouk I of Egypt and he become presdident.

▶️ Ministry of Lands is set to introduce AI and Block Chain techonolgy to fight fraud and forgery. 

'AI will not only tell, but link up information of landowners with the parcels. So, anyone coming to change it will automaticaly be blocked, and it wont take place.' Dennis Obbo - Spokesperson , Ministry of Lands. 

▶️ Meanwhile, High court in Masindi has ordered IGG, Masindi Local Gov't and the District Service Commision to pay 400 million to Prudence Aituha, the District Fisheries Officer, after she won a wrongful dismissal battle against them. 

▶️ You should marry outside Teso region to reduce the sickle cell burden.  Ministry of health officials say Teso region is one of the areas in Uganda with the highest presence of the sickle cell disease.

▶️  And today at 2pm in Kampala,  the Supreme Court will hold a special session to honor and pay tribute the late Justice Goerge Wilson Kanyeihamba's lasting legacy.
